Growums Review and Giveaway (Closed)

Spring is here!  In my house that means playing outdoors, mulching in my yard, planting flowers, vegetables, and herbs.  Well, I do plant flowers every year, but the thought of trying to grow my own vegetables and herbs is too overwhelming for me.  It never happens...until now.

Growums garden kits makes planting vegetables and herbs possible for me!  The best part of Growums is that is is specifically aimed at helping children learn how to grow and take care of their own plants and food.  According to the American Gardening Association, 98% of children who grow their own vegetables eat them.  That's amazing!

These all in one kits include everything you need.  You get seeds for 4 different herbs or vegetables, 8 Coco Pellets (pete pellets) to grow your seeds in, and 8 plant tags.  All you need is a shallow dish, some warm water, and a sunny window.  How can you really go wrong?

Mason helped me start the Herb Garden Kit.  And you know what, he loved every minute of creating his own garden!

Kids can choose from 6 different specifically-themed garden kits, including Herb Garden, Pizza Garden, Salad Garden, Stirfry Garden, Taco Garden, and Ratatouille Garden.  Once you choose your garden and plant the seeds, you can expect to start seeing sprouts within 10 days.

Along with the garden kits you plant, you and your child can visit the virtual world at Growums.com.  There you can register your garden and meet animated characters like Elvis Parsley and Belle Peppa that will help to show you how to care for your vegetables.  Within a few weeks, you will be able to harvest fresh vegetable and herbs.  Kids will be eating nutritious meals that they helped to make.

Do you want to win your own Growums Garden Kit?  Fill out the form below and enter for a chance to win!  Two winners will be chosen for this Giveaway.  The Giveaway will run from 5/11/11 at 12:00pm until 5/18/11 until 12:00pm.  You may enter once daily, including the Bonus Entries.  Erroneous entries will be deleted.

Congratulations to Kristi C and Heather M, winners of the Growums Giveaway.  The winners will have 48 hours to respond to my email or another winner will be chosen.

Growums provided me with the products above in order to facilitate this review.  All opinions are 100% mine.

  6. What a wonderful giveaway. It's so important that kids know where their food comes from. How fun that they can pick a theme and and have a meal when everything is grown.

  9. I think it's great that the kids can interact online while waiting for the veggies to grow. The waiting is the hardest part!

  10. Such a great idea for kids. Not a video game, no batteries needed, just water and sunshine.
