Aquadoodle Doodle Buddy Review

Aquadoodle's Doodle Buddy is going to be a huge hit with the pint sized crowd.  Mason has been playing with his Doodle Buddy for days now and I am delighted that he is playing with another great toy from Spin Master!

What is a Doodle Buddy, you might be wondering?  It is a stuffed animal that you can draw on, just like the Aquadoodle mat.  There are 3 Aquadoodle Doodle Buddy's to choose from - a purple penguin, a red bear, and a blue dog.  These Doodle Buddy's are adorable!  They are made of bright colors and have friendly faces.  And like the Aquadoodle mat, it can be drawn on over and over again.  The Aquadoodle Doodle Buddy also comes with an Aquadoodle pen which is securely attached by elastic to the paw of the Doodle Buddy.  Just fill up the Aquadoodle pen and get drawing.

The Aquadoodle Doodle Buddy is the perfect size for 2 and up. It is the perfect size for little hands to carry and to fit on a little lap for drawing fun.  I have tested this as a car ride toy and I am happy to say, it has been successful so far!  Mason sat the entire ride, drew on his penguin, and I didn't hear a peep from him.

Aquadoodle Draw N Doodle - Now In Color!

Mason loves to color, but what 2 year old doesn't?  We have crayons, markers, colored pencils, dry erase markers, and now the Aquadoodle Draw N Doodle - in color!  This Aquadoodle mat is a great option for young kids and parents alike.

The Aquadoodle Draw N Doodle can easily provide children with hours of clean fun, literally.  All you need is to fill the pen with water and you instantly have everything you need to keep your tot entertained.  Two or three children could easily play on this mat and draw together.

As a mom, I love it for so many reasons. 

1. No batteries required!!!
2. The graphics on the Aquadoodle Draw N Doodle mat are adorable.  There is a colorful alphabet and pictures to match the letters going around the mat.  Mason is obsessed with the alphabet, so this is perfect for him.  Hopefully one day I can use the mat to help practice drawing letters!
3. There is little to no mess.  It's only water in the pen, so if a little leaks, who cares!  You don't have to worry about permanent ink stains on the couch, tile grout, clothes, and well, the list goes on and on. 
4. I love that this mat is reusable.  After waiting a few minutes, the mat will dry and ready for more creativity. 
5. I love that it folds up for easy storage.  It does not take up a lot of room at all.
6. I try to encourage independent play with Mason and the Aquadoodle Draw N Doodle mat lets me do that.  He can play by himself with no help from me, or I can be actively involved in drawing and playing with him.
7. I think my favorite aspect of the Aquadoodle Draw N Doodle it that it uses no chemicals.  I don't have to worry about Mason breathing in harmful fumes of markers or ingesting ink if he puts the pen in his mouth.

Junk Ball by Little Kids Review

Junk Ball Bat & Ball Set

Mason is quickly becoming a baseball fan.  With a Daddy who watches every game, how couldn't he?  Mason already loves to throw balls, especially baseballs.  This year we have introduced him to the baseball bat.  Surprisingly, he has not used it for anything other than to actually try to hit the baseball.

I was really excited when the new Junk Ball Bat & Ball Set came for us to review.  What perfect timing!  We love spending the days outside and now Mason has a ball and bat set he can practice with.  Since I have not played baseball since 8th grade, I called in Daddy to help.  This is definitely right up his alley.  If anyone could throw these pitches, Daddy could do it!  On the other end, I helped Mason hit the ball. 

This set included one Junk Ball and one Sweet Spot Bat.  Both bat and ball are made of plastic and reminded me of the Wiffle Ball and Bat, but much cooler!  Junk Ball made it super easy to throw any kind of pitch you want.  The Junk Ball has a dial and holes running through the middle of the ball that lets you adjust the air flow around the ball so you can throw the pitch you want.  With simple adjustments to the ball itself or how you hold the ball will determine what kind of pitch you will throw.  You can throw a Fastball by throwing overhand and having the holes on the ball covered.  Or you could throw a Sinker by throwing sidearm with the holes open, and scruff marks on the ball down.  We had no problem throwing any of the pitches with the Junk Ball and had a blast trying.

The Sweet Spot Bat was fun to play with too.  This bat gives you extra power when hitting the ball.  This lightweight, 32" Sweet Spot Bat  is specially designed to hit Junk Balls.  The Sweet Spot on the bat did let us hit the ball further than your average bat would.  Our neighbors can attest to that since we hit it over the fence a few times.
