Best Pals Review and Giveaway (Closed)

Best Pals Dolls

These dolls are the ultimate expression of wholesome and sweet.  These vintage rag dolls are part of the Best Pals line created by Sisters, Kathy and Janet Lennon, of the Lennon Sisters.  It was the Sisters' love for a pair of handmade rag dolls that they received from their Mom and Nana in 1949 that led to the launch of KatJan, Inc.

The dolls are an exact replica of Kathy and Janet Lennon’s original rag doll down to the vintage fabric pattern on her sashed dress and the yarn hair that is styled in two perfect braids! Each doll features a “Best Pals” baby bead bracelet – just like in the 1950’s and is part of a numbered and limited edition.  You know you are truly getting an original doll!

I especially love the embroidered facial features.  There are no pieces on the face to worry about falling off.  You can also dress and undress your doll with the new line of dress sets that are now available.  These dolls lend themselves to hours of imaginative play.

These soft dolls are just adorable.  These will no doubt be the doll that your little one wants to sleep with and has to take everywhere. These dolls retail for $24.95 each.

Homemade Baby Wipes

We all know diapers and wipes get expensive quickly.  Here's an idea if you are looking to save a little money on baby wipes - Make your own baby wipes at home.  It is so easy, I wish I had started this sooner.

This homemade version costs just pennies and if you are super thrifty, you can save even more by using coupons for the paper towels.  Try not to skimp on quality though.  A thicker, better quality paper towel is better for this task.

Homemade Baby Wipes

1 roll of Bounty (or another thick, quality brand) paper towels
2-1/4 cups of water
2 Tbsp. baby bath or shampoo
1 Tbsp. baby oil

Directions:
  1. Cut the roll of towels in half (an electric knife works well) and place in a container.  You can also separate the towels into a neat pile that will be ready to use.
    2.   Mix all liquid ingredients together and pour over top of the towels.

    3.   Let the liquid absorb into the towels.  When ready to use, remove the
cardboard center (if you left it in) and pull the towels from the middle.

Baby wipes..... fast, inexpensive and easy!  I also reuse all the wipes containers I have collected over the past 22 months to store the homemade wipes in.  I also put the recipe to the front of the wipes container so it is easy to find when I need to make them again.
