How to Remove Crayon From a Chalkboard

Just when I am thinking about what I should write about, in steps my 3 year old, Mason.  Today Mason decided that he wanted to draw on his chalkboard with one of his cupcake crayons that we made.  I am thrilled that he loves the crayons and wants to color with them, just not on the chalkboard.

I try not to get upset about this type of thing.  There is much worse that could happen!  So, it's not that big of a deal if you can't get the crayon off.  There is always the option of repainting the chalkboard with chalkboard paint.  However, right now, I would rather not bother with the hassle of it.  So, I found another method to clean the crayon off chalkboard without damaging the board.

Ready.....it's very simple and it works!
  • Mix a paste of baking soda and dish liquid.
  • Rub gently until crayon is gone!

Yup, that's it!  Simple and you don't have to use harsh chemicals like some other recipes suggest to clean it.
