If you are as tired of being stuck in the house as I am, then you are probably looking for a new activity to do with the kids! Here is a fun (and kinda messy) activity to try during theses snowy days.
Best of all, you can turn this into a reading activity with the Dr. Suess book Bartholomew and the Oobleck. Oobleck was the name given to a type of slime that "gummed" up the whole kingdom.
OOBLECK
Materials
- 1 part water
- 2 parts corn starch
- Food Coloring (Optional)
- Mix ingredients well.
- Mixture should change between a liquid and a solid when handled.
- Experiment with the ratio of water to corn starch to see which consistencies you prefer.
This makes a fun mixture to play with textures.
