Shout Product Review

I have quickly learned that having a 16 month old boy and white shirts and white socks do not mix well together. It is almost impossible to keep his clothes stain free. Thanks to Mama Cheaps, I was so excited to be asked to be part of Shout’s “Go and Play Initiative” and to test and review some of Shout’s stain fighting products. Shout’s initiative encourages parents and children to get outdoors and play without worrying about the stains that naturally come with outdoor play. Shout proudly believes the was benefits of outdoor play helps to develop skills that enable children to become happy, healthy adults.

The first product I reviewed Shout’s Advanced Ultra Concentrated Gel formulated for Heavy-Duty Stains. I had just the item for this product, a pair of my shorts and a pair of my son’s socks. My shorts had a grease stain that I could not get out. I also already ran them through the dryer, so I figured the stain set. I applied the gel to the stains and let it sit for the recommended 5 minutes and washed them normally with my regular detergent. As you can see, the stains came out! I could not believe it was actually gone. I did use another stain fighter the first time I washed them, but the stain did not come out. UNBELIEVEABLE! A pair of shorts I thought were ruined were now perfect! Now onto the socks. This pair of socks my son wore all around the house, outside and to Bounce U for a two hour bounce session. They were filthy! I applied the gel and let it stand for 5 to 10 minutes because of the severity of the stain and washed as usual. As you can clearly see from the picture, the sock on the left was treated and the sock on the right was not. What a world of difference! This is only with one wash too. I bet a rewash would bring it up even cleaner. I would definitely use this product again and again.

The next product I reviewed is Shout’s Triple-Acting stain remover. I was pleased to see this was also a Greenlist product. For this test I used a white shirt that I have washed and treated and bleached, but could not get the stains out around the collar of the shirt. I sprayed the stain lifter and again, waited 5 minutes. I washed as usual with my regular detergent. Again, I was please to see that the stain was gone! A white shirt that is actually white! I can’t wait to put it on my son so I can treat more stains.

The last product I reviewed was Shout’s Color Catcher. I am always skeptical of these products and wonder if they really work or if my clothes will get ruined. As you can see in the picture, I mixed every color I had in the wash, including my husband’s new red Phillies tee shirt. I set the load and prayed that my wash wouldn’t turn pink! I opened the washer when the buzzed sounded and the clothes were perfect! I searched for the wash sheet and found it deep pink in color. Thank God I used this, or my wash would have been mess! Contrary to what I thought, my clothes actually appeared brighter than before. Two thumbs up for this product as well!

Shout has just launched their Go Play Sweepstakes which you will find on their Facebook page. Prizes include 4 $200 gift cards to Growing Tree Toys given weekly and a grand prize of a Dream Playset from Rainbow Play Systems!
